Who we are

vewo ("we", "us") operates the video hosting and sharing service at vewo.io. For privacy questions, contact support@vewo.io.

What we collect

Videos you upload

We store the videos you upload and the processed versions we generate, so they can be played back via your shareable link. Anyone with the link can view the video until it expires. Videos are deleted automatically when their retention period ends, or earlier if you delete them.

Account information (optional)

If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication details through our identity provider. You can use vewo anonymously without an account.

Technical data

We process limited technical information (such as IP address and request metadata) to operate the service, prevent abuse, and apply rate limits.

Payment data

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider, who acts as the merchant of record. We do not receive or store your full card details — the provider handles payment information directly.

How we use data

• To host, process, and stream your videos.
• To manage your account and apply your plan's limits.
• To process subscriptions and refunds.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Where data is stored

Videos, metadata and account records are stored on infrastructure located in the European Union, and delivered through a content delivery network. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except the providers described below, who process it only to operate the service.

Data retention

Videos are kept only for their retention period (7, 30, or 365 days depending on your plan) and then deleted automatically. If you delete your account, your videos and account record are removed.

Your rights

You can delete any of your videos, and delete your account (and all its videos) at any time from your account page. For other data requests, email support@vewo.io.

Third parties

We rely on third-party providers for hosting and content delivery, for account sign-in, and for payment processing. Each is bound by contract and processes data only as needed to provide their part of the service. If you need to know who they are — for a data request, or a security or compliance review — email support@vewo.io and we will tell you.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use means you accept the current policy. See also our Terms & Conditions.
